Shaun King Antiques has dated this Antique Gilt Shield Mirror to the 1860s.
The mouldings give an impression that the mirror plate is divided but, in reality, the MIRROR is one piece of glass with the mouldings sitting gently on top.

The MIRROR has an old, COUNTRY HOUSE feel and has aged well with pleasing signs of wear showing through on both frame and glass.
The back board has been replaced at some time, possibly by The Rowley Gallery, London as it bears their label.
There are two good, strong hanging rings.
