Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Grand Tour marble statues are 18th- and 19th-century carved sculptures produced in Italy, primarily acquired by wealthy European aristocrats completing educational tours across the continent to collect classical art.

Sculptors predominantly used solid white marble, such as Carrara marble, carved manually using chisels, drills, and rasping tools before being hand-polished to create realistic drapery and anatomical details.

Authentic period pieces show evidence of hand-carving techniques, light surface oxidisation or subtle grey veining, historical wear to the integral base, and proportional classical drapery executed without modern machine marks.

Classical stone statues can be styled on a sideboard, console table, or dedicated pedestal to act as a focal point, pairing structural historical forms against minimalist contemporary backdrops.

Dust regularly with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, acidic solutions, or excessive water, using only specialized stone cleaners or distilled water if light cleaning is required.
