Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A pricket candlestick features a central vertical pin or spike designed to secure a candle by pressing its base onto the metal point, a form widely produced across Europe prior to the widespread adoption of socketed holders.

Early brass candlesticks were typically cast in heavy copper alloy using sand or lost-wax casting methods, often featuring hand-turned detailing, lathe marks, and separate cast elements joined together.

Authentic pieces generally display subtle irregularities from hand-casting, heavy weight, visible lathe turning marks, iron or hand-forged spikes, and natural verdigris settling in recesses over time.

This decorative object can be positioned on a fireplace mantelpiece, dining table centrepiece, or side table to introduce warm metal tones and historical texture to modern or classic interior schemes.

Preserve the original surface patina by dusting regularly with a soft cloth and avoiding harsh chemical polishes that strip historical oxidisation and natural surface age.
