Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Pembroke table is a compact drop-leaf table developed in the 18th century, featuring two hinged flaps that raise on wooden fly-brackets to expand the tabletop, often fitted with a single end drawer.

Regency Pembroke tables were predominantly crafted from solid mahogany or mahogany veneers over pine or oak drawer linings, supported by turned or tapered legs fitted with brass castors.

Authentic 19th-century Pembroke tables feature hand-cut dovetail drawer joints, original brass castors or knobs, age-consistent wear around the hinged brackets, and natural wood shrinkage on the top surface.

A mahogany Pembroke table functions well as an occasional side table beside a sofa, an entryway console table, or a compact writing desk when one or both leaves are raised.

Preserve mahogany furniture by dusting regularly with a soft cloth, applying a high-quality beeswax paste twice a year, keeping it out of direct sunlight, and maintaining stable room humidity.
