Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Victorian exhibition porcelain represents the peak of 19th-century ceramic artistry, crafted specifically to display technical innovation, complex gilding, and fine relief work at international trade fairs and major retailer showcases.

Pieces from this era were produced using fine bone china or soft-paste porcelain, finished with lead glazes, hand-painted enamels, and mercury-gilded gold leaf detailing.

Authentic items feature the standard printed or impressed Royal Worcester printed mark, date letters or dots indicating the year of manufacture, and often additional retailer stamps such as A.B. Daniell & Son.

Position the vessel as a standalone accent on a minimalist fireplace mantelpiece, modern marble console table, or inside a glass display cabinet to contrast ornate period details against clean contemporary surfaces.

Dust regularly with a soft, dry microfibre brush. Avoid immersing gilded porcelain in water or using abrasive chemical cleaners, as these methods can cause the gold leaf and delicate relief work to degrade.
