Description

A striking Victorian burr walnut breakfast table dating to around 1870, showcasing an outstanding quality oval burr walnut top with wonderfully matched book-matched veneers displaying dramatic figuring throughout. The rich colour and exceptional grain make this an especially decorative and desirable example.

The top is raised on a beautifully carved turned pedestal terminating in an elegant carved quadrapod base with scrolling feet and original brass castors, providing both stability and ease of movement. The table retains its original tilt-top mechanism, allowing it to be stored upright when not in use.

Presented in very good antique condition with a warm, rich patina acquired over more than 150 years of careful use.
