Antique Mahogany Open Bookcase

19th century
Description

A good mahogany open bookcase dating from the late 19th Century. It is a simple design set on a plinth base with an open front. There are three adjustable shelves set on side support. The shelves and interior have been painted black at some point in its life which looks very tidy.

It is a good size with nice small proportions and is in good condition for its age. It is not without some small knocks and marks and minor chips around the base but the mahogany has developed a lovely patina and there are no major damages. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
