A fine inlaid mahogany Carlton House desk, beautifully crafted in the classic Georgian style with an elegant wraparound superstructure and a rich figured mahogany grain throughout. The writing surface has been professionally fitted with a new hand-dyed green leather inset, providing an attractive and practical finish.

The raised top features an arrangement of small drawers and two curved cupboards, both retaining their working locks and key. Below are a series of solid mahogany drawers, all with quality hand-cut dovetailed construction, offering excellent storage.

Standing on tapering square legs terminating in spade feet, this desk is in very good condition, having been carefully maintained and ready for immediate use. A superb and highly functional antique desk, equally suited to a study, office, or period interior.
