The Mezzotint Man has dated this Antique Portrait Mezzotint Print to the 17th Century.
Fine mezzotint portrait of Prince William Henry, Duke of Gloucester (1689–1700), the only son of Queen Anne to survive infancy, standing alongside his childhood companion, Benjamin Bathurst (1691/2–1767).
Benjamin Bathurst, stands slightly behind him to the left, and the pair are depicted in St George's Chapel, Windsor.

Benjamin Bathurst went on to have a long political career, serving as a Member of Parliament for over fifty years, representing Cirencester, Gloucester, and Monmouth. He is famously noted for having fathered 36 children across two marriages.
