Late 19th century.

Khamseh confederation by the basseri tribe,south west persia.

In distressed condition with central reweaves to the ivory colour,some wear,some fringe losses,some side cord loss,everything imaged.

Overall though for the price it is a very good buy. Has some charming tribal motifs with a boteh main border to each end with stylised flower heads and stalks.

6 foot 11 inches by 4 foot 6 inches. 211cm X 137cm at widest points. Fringes not measured in size. All wool construction.
