Late 19th century small afshar rug with all over low pile and subtle wear.

Notice the geometric bird motifs in each geometric corner spandrel.

Nice country house looker.

Size is 3 foot 9 inches by 3 foot. 116cm X 92cm. At widest points. Minor fringes not measured in size. Wool pile hand knotted onto cotton warp and terracotta dyed wool weft threads.

Afshar rugs were traditionally woven by the semi-nomadic Afshar tribe located primarily in the Kerman province of south-eastern Iran.
