Antique Mahogany Georgian Corner Washstand

An attractive Georgian mahogany corner washstand of elegant form, retaining its original layout with circular apertures to accommodate a wash bowl and associated holders. The shaped gallery back incorporates a small corner shelf, while the lower section features a useful drawer above a shaped undertier and a ring-turned pot stand stretcher. Raised on slender square tapering legs, the piece displays a rich mahogany colour with attractive figuring and grain throughout.

In good antique condition with signs of age and use consistent with its years. There is a historic repair to the gallery back, where a split has been professionally repaired and remains stable. The washstand displays age-related marks, stains, scratches, and general surface wear throughout. Structurally sound and presenting well overall, with a pleasing colour and patina.
