Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Pocket watches from the 1920s often bridged Edwardian design and Art Deco influences, featuring clean open-face dials, crisp Roman or Arabic numerals, slim profiles, and refined geometric or reeded bezel detailing.

Timepieces of this period typically used gold-filled, rolled gold, or solid brass cases, paired with vitreous enamel dials, blued steel hands, and precision mechanical movements housed beneath glass crystals.

Authentic period watches display maker marks, serial numbers, or purity hallmarks stamped inside the case back, along with characteristic hand-finished mechanical movements and sunken subsidiary seconds dials.

A classic pocket watch can be styled on a brass watch stand, placed under a small glass display dome, or framed in a velvet-lined shadow box as part of a vignette on a desk or bookshelf.

Keep the timepiece free from moisture and magnetic fields, store it in a lined case, wind it gently without forcing the crown, and have the mechanical movement serviced by a horologist every few years.
