Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Regency writing slope is a portable wooden box featuring an angled writing flap lined with leather or velvet, popular during the early nineteenth century for personal correspondence while travelling or working away from a dedicated desk.

These boxes were predominantly crafted from fine hardwoods such as walnut, mahogany, or rosewood, lined with tooling-embellished skiver leather, and reinforced with brass brassware corners and flush hinges for durability.

Authentic Regency pieces often feature brass brassware straps, flush carry handles, inkwell compartments, and secret drawers concealed behind sprung panels, along with natural hand-cut joinery and historical patina.

Position the box open on a console table, dark wood desk, or library shelf, pairing it with contemporary books, brass accessories, or framed botanical prints to create a refined accent.

Keep the timber dusted with a dry lint-free cloth and apply high-grade beeswax sparingly to nourish the walnut, while avoiding direct heat sources or solvents on the original leather interior.
