In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Regency writing tables from the early 19th century typically feature classical proportions, reeded or turned legs, flame mahogany veneers, and decorative brass hardware such as lion-mask ring pulls.

Cabinetmakers during this era predominantly utilized Cuban and West Indian mahogany, combined with hand-cast brass castors, handles, and escutcheons, alongside leather writing inserts.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-dovetailed drawer joints, original brass castors with natural oxidisation, oak or pine secondary drawer linings, and hand-cut timber construction details.

A classic writing table functions effectively as a hall console, a compact home office desk, or an accent side table within contemporary or traditional schemes.

Apply high-grade beeswax twice yearly along the grain, keep the wood away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and clean surfaces using a dry microfibre cloth.
