Description

Details about this watch

This one of the rarest of all Omegas the Ultra Flat Art Deco from 1943. Omega model reference CK2306 with calibre R17.8 movement.

The diameter is 32.5mm excluding the crown.

The Art Deco dial with sub seconds is totally original and untouched it has had no restoration whatsoever, its in fabulous condition with just a slight even patina to give away its 80 years. The hands are also original and in superb condition.

The unusual designed case has tulip lugs in fabulous original condition it has never been polished, all we have done is give it a thorough ultrasonic clean. The case back has none of the case tool damage normally seen on watches from this period, its just perfect.

We have fitted a top quality black crocodile strap but we can fit almost any colour or style of strap you prefer, we keep most things in stock

The watch has just been fully serviced and is guaranteed to be genuine Omega in all respects. It is keeping time to within Omegas original specification and comes with a one year warranty.

This is one of the rarest of vintage Omegas, it was only made for one year. If you search for Omega model reference CK2306 you will not find any other examples anywhere in the world. The Omega vintage website only has a small black and white image for reference, which tells us that the Omega museum probably don't have an example of this watch themselves.

This would undoubtedly be one of the most prized watches of any collection.

A true collectors watch not to be missed.

We offer a highly personalised and bespoke service.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco ultra-flat dress watches from the 1930s and 1940s are characterised by slim case profiles, minimalist dials, sub-second registers, and elegant typography designed to fit under a dress shirt cuff.

Mid-century Swiss timepieces commonly featured stainless steel or gold-plated cases, acrylic glass crystals, silvered brass dials, and hand-stitched leather straps.

Authentication involves inspecting the reference numbers inside the case back, verifying movement serial numbers against manufacturer production archives, and examining correct logo typography and calibre stamps.

A vintage mechanical wristwatch offers timeless elegance, pairing seamlessly with modern tailored suits for formal events or adding refined detail to casual smart wear when worn with a shirt.

Manual-wind mechanical watches require servicing every three to five years by a qualified watchmaker, protection from moisture and strong magnetic fields, and careful manual winding until light resistance is felt.
