Very few antique candlesticks bear a Maker's Mark, the late Ronald Michaelis, in his authoritative work, " Old Domestic Base Metal Candlesticks", suggesting perhaps only one in a thousand. This lovely old pair, each of which retains it's internal push-ejector rod and button, simply ooze period charm, glowing with that deep patina only to be achieved by decades of hand polishing and thus remain perfectly practical for everyday use.
