This chest of drawers is the epitome of Sheraton or Hepplewhite design. It has all the desirable features you would look for in a better than average model in terms of size, design and colour . It has a caddy top with wonderful original colour and patina with a wide 2" crossbanded top , checked by fine boxwood string inlay; the edges further finished in boxwood quadrant to help prevent the edges splitting. The frieze has fine boxwood and ebony inlay as does the shaped apron to the base which leads to elegant shaped splay bracket feet typical of the period. All the drawers are similarly edged in boxwood and retain the original oval brass handles with impressed thistle design.

Measures 96cm w x 106cm h x 49 cm d

Wonderful original and house ready condition, having been cleaned waxed and polished and all the drawers re-runnered so they slide smoothly
