Remote action vernier marker which is operated by a bone adjustment wheel set to the top right of the trunk. Bears the makers name Jacob, Bath to the dial. Abraham Jacob is recorded as an important barometer maker working at various addresses in Bath and later in Cheltenham. He is also noted as barometer maker to the Duke of Gloucester and the Duke of Wellington.
