Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Victorian glassware encompasses stemware and vessels produced during the 19th century, often decorated using wheel-engraving, acid etching, or glass cutting techniques. A harlequin set refers to a collection of individual glasses that share similar proportions and shapes but display distinctly varied decorative patterns.

Pieces were traditionally hand-blown using heavy lead crystal or soda-lime glass. Patterns were applied using copper wheel engraving, acid etching, or lapidary hand-cutting, often finished with star-cut bases and faceted stems.

Authentic period stemware usually exhibits subtle hand-crafting variations, polished pontil marks on the base, and minor wear under the foot rim consistent with age. Lead crystal pieces from this era also possess a distinct weight and clear resonance when gently tapped.

Mismatched stemware adds texture and interest to formal dining tables, cocktail trays, or open dressers. Combining different geometric and botanical motifs creates an curated look that complements both traditional and eclectic modern table settings.

Hand wash antique glassware individually in lukewarm water using a mild liquid detergent. Avoid dishwashers and extreme temperature changes to prevent stress fractures or clouding, and dry immediately with a soft lint-free cloth.
