A rummer is a short-stemmed drinking vessel featuring a generous bowl, originating in the late eighteenth century and remaining popular throughout the Victorian era. The square base, known as a lemon squeezer foot, was formed by pressing molten glass into a square mould, creating a distinctive stepped or fluted underside.
