In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A George III demi-lune table is a semi-circular wall or serving table crafted during the reign of King George III in Britain, characterized by Neoclassical proportions, refined timber veneers, and painted or inlaid decoration.

Cabinetmakers typically utilised native and imported hardwoods such as mahogany, satinwood, and harewood for veneers, often finished with painted floral swags, crossbanded borders, and hand-cut joinery.

Authentic period pieces exhibit period-accurate construction techniques, including hand-sawn secondary timber, hand-painted details displaying fine craquelure, and natural patination on the legs and underside.

Position the straight edge flush against a hallway or foyer wall to optimise space, top it with a ceramic vessel or table lamp, and hang a framed mirror directly above.

Keep the timber away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent veneer movement or fading, dust regularly with a soft dry cloth, and avoid applying abrasive waxes over painted surface details.
