George II Oak Coffer Bach

Description

A superior quality George II period oak coffer bach with single drawer to the base and lovely original patina throughout c.1740. Single plank top with moulded edge sat over a four plank base with moulded waist. Single shallow drawer below with moulded edges, original handles and complementing lock escutcheons. All sat on a moulded plinth with fretted decoration to the foot and small feet set to the corners. The top sitting on the original sleepers lifting to reveal a clean interior.
