Description

Swedish 19th century carved birch chest of drawers circa 1870.

We are pleased to offer this fine quality 5 drawer chest of drawers from scandinavia.

3 plank top surface with rounded front edge, decorated with a contrasting gadrooned border.  each drawer opens on the key which is typical of swedish furniture of this era.  top shallow drawer with shaped drawer front, complimented by 4 further drawers of near equal proportions.  all raised on 4 turned feet.

Ideal to use in multiple rooms around the home, especially the bedroom.  working locks and 2 keys.

Fully re-polished by hand in our workshop and maintaining it's original rich golden colour.  very minor surface marks and natural fading.  ready for everyday use.
