Fine Pair of Old Sheffield Plated Wine Coolers C1830

19th century
Description

This beautiful pair of campagna wine coolers are made of Old Sheffield Plate. Dating to c1830 and marked for maker Henry Wilkinson & Co of Sheffield. Both have an inlaid silver cartouche to the front with the family crest of a lion. Superb fluted bodies and fluid tactile shape. Wonderfully ornate handles with visible seams underneath. The coolers have removable internal bowls and are tinned to the interiors.

Both in good condition with slight copper bleed due to age and use. One cooler has slightly more copper bleed than the other.

Weight approx 3kg each.
