Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Ersari carpets originate from the Ersari tribe of Central Asia and are distinguished by repeating octagonal motifs known as guls. They traditionally feature deep terracotta reds, navy blues, and geometric borders woven using symmetrical knots.

Traditional Ersari rugs are constructed using hand-spun wool for both the pile and the foundation. The wool is dyed using natural plant and insect extracts to achieve rich shades of madder red, indigo blue, and warm brown.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-tied knots visible on the reverse, slight variations in natural dye tones known as abrash, and soft wool pile. The presence of specific tribal gul emblems and flexible wool foundations further confirm tribal origin.

The bold geometric patterns and deep earthy tones of an Ersari carpet act as a grounding element in modern spaces. They layer effectively over hardwood floors in traditional studies, minimalist living rooms, or eclectic interiors.

Vacuum regularly using a suction-only setting to avoid damaging the fibres, and rotate the carpet periodically to ensure even wear. Blot spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth and arrange professional hand-washing when deep cleaning is required.
