A highly attractive figured walnut library table, English, circa 1870, of elegant proportions.

The table features a newly fitted black leather inset writing surface, beautifully finished with a gold-tooled border.

The frieze is adorned with finely figured walnut grain and houses two drawers, each fitted with classic brass pull handles.

The design is enhanced by softly rounded corners and supported by striking spiral twist columns, united by a matching double stretcher of the same form.

The table stands on elegant scroll feet, complete with brass castors for ease of movement.
