Peter Harris Clocks & Militaria has dated this Italian Flintlock Holster Pistol to the 18th Century.
The walnut stock is attractively inlaid with white-metal wire scrollwork and fitted with a brass escutcheon to the grip. The flintlock mechanism shows light foliate engraving and remains complete, with the cock retaining a decorative inlaid panel.

The barrel measures approximately 7 inches and the pistol has an overall length of about 48 cm. Pistols of this style are commonly associated with the Brescia region of Northern Italy and were produced for civilian or officer purchase during the late flintlock period.

An attractive and well-decorated example with good display presence.
