Description

A good Georgian solid brass telescope by Gilbert & Co Ltd. Manufactured between 1800-1806, the company was rated amongst the very best of the period and bears the manufacturers engraved marks. The main lens is 3" diameter and 160cm when extended. It is usable and in very good condition.

It stands on a brass tripod base.

Circa 1800.
