Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian scent bottles typically feature deeply cut crystal or glass paired with hallmarked silver mounts, often decorated with floral scrolls, cherubs, or delicate repousse work favoured between 1901 and 1910.

These vanity accessories were predominantly crafted from heavy lead crystal or hand-cut glass, fitted with sterling silver collars, stoppers, or embossed hinged caps.

Authentic British pieces bear clear silver hallmarks on the collar or cap, including the makers mark, silver purity mark, assay office mark, and a specific date letter corresponding to the year of manufacture.

An antique scent bottle can be displayed on a mirrored tray atop a dressing table, placed on a bathroom counter, or set beside books on a bedside table to introduce a refined decorative element.

Clean the glass interior and exterior using warm water and mild soap while avoiding harsh abrasives, and gently wipe the silver mount with a dedicated silver polishing cloth to clear oxidisation.
