Central persia,circa 1920.

Attractive and unusual in the fact of no usual central medallion but a one way repeat design of vases of flowers surrounded by palmette and elongated curly saz leaves on a dark blue field.

Made with kurk velvety wool finely knotted onto cotton foundations with the wefts dyed light blue.

Hand washed and ready for use. All ends stopped with blanket stitches and side cords good. Many images of rug.

6 foot 8 inches by 4 foot 4 inches. 204cm X 132cm. At widest points. Fringes not measured in size.
