Description

Central persia, last quarter 19th century.

Isfahan rug with an overall spidery and thorny floral composition. Superb dark ivory field colour with subtle blues,pinks,reds and a yellow. Great overall country house look.

Has been hand washed last image.

All over low pile with very subtle wear for a rug of this age.

Size is 6 foot 9 inches by 4 foot 7 inches. 206cm by 140cm. At widest points. Minor fringes not measured in size. Fine velvety wool pile hand knotted onto very fine cotton foundations with the weft threads dyed light blue.

Weighs 5.3kg. U.k post £20.

Price very reasonable for it''s look £595 gbp. Bank transfers,discussions,etc all welcomed.
