-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-

A completely charming early 18th century oak chest of drawers.

C.1730.

Lots of wonderful character and rustic charm to this early Georgian solid oak chest of drawers.

A beautifully constructed country made piece. Having two short drawers over three long graduating drawers. Each drawer is pine lined, with thick solid oak fronts, showing some lovely graining to the wood, with an outstanding rich aged patina, which can only develop over many centuries of cleaning and daily use.

Retaining the original brass handles and escutcheons, with the handmade iron locks to most of the drawers, a couple are replaced.

Standing on bracket feet.

In excellent antique condition. Very solid sturdy and strong, with each drawer being very solid and strong and opening smoothly and easily. Some very historical repairs are visible, adding to the warmth and character of this lovely old country piece.
