Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Old Sheffield Plate refers to a manufacturing technique invented in the 18th century where layers of silver were fused onto copper ingots prior to being rolled into sheets and crafted into tableware and wine accessories.

Traditional Regency and William IV wine coasters feature silver or silver-plated metal rimsoften finished with chased foliage patternsmounted onto turned wooden bases with central metal bosses.

Authentic period pieces often show traces of copper visible through areas where the silver layer has worn from polishing over time, known as copper bleed, alongside turned wood bases rather than modern weighted cast bases.

These decorative metal accessories can be positioned as decorative tabletop accents on a sideboard, displayed on a drinks trolley alongside glass decanters, or used on a dining table to hold bottles.

Wipe the silver surfaces gently with a specialised silver polishing cloth and avoid immersion in water to prevent the internal wooden bases from warping or expanding.
