-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-

A very striking and impressive pair of carved oak Victorian throne chairs in the 17th century style, of superb quality.

C1890.

Wonderfully carved top rail with a boldly carved "Green Man" motif , fruiting vines and barley twist uprights and supports. The arm rests are particularly lovely having large carved "Lions Heads"

The chair backs and seats are upholstered with stud decoration, in a very attractive high quality thick cotton floral pattern fabric, with a cream background and red and green flowers and foliage. In excellent unworn clean condition

In good solid, strong and sturdy condition.

The dimensions are of the frame, taken at widest points.

Width-64cm.

Depth-54cm.
