Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Queen Anne revival furniture from the 1920s draws inspiration from early 18th-century English designs. Key features include the extensive use of burr walnut veneers, curved cabriole legs, brass drop handles, and balanced proportions.

Furniture from this period typically features thin slices of burr walnut veneer applied over solid pine, oak, or mahogany frames. Drawers are commonly constructed using hand-cut or fine machine dovetailed joints with solid wood drawer linings.

Look for uniform dovetail joinery in the drawer construction, authentic natural oxidation on secondary woods, and genuine cast brass hardware displaying age-appropriate patina and surface wear.

Position the piece against neutral wall colours like off-white or soft grey to highlight the rich wood grain. Complement the warm wood tones with contemporary brass lighting, abstract artwork, or subtle ceramic accessories.

Dust regularly using a dry microfibre cloth and apply a natural beeswax polish twice yearly along the direction of the grain. Keep the piece away from direct sunlight and central heating radiators to prevent veneer cracking or lifting.
