Antique Ushak Carpet

Description

A rare small scale Turkish Ushak carpet, very decorative and soft piece from the late 19th century and with very soft wool and muted natural colours.  The condition is fabulous all over, with a good wool pile which is looking lovely after a recent clean at our workshop.  A rare small size to find in such great order, request a home visit to see this beautiful carpet at home at a convenient time. Or please arrange a visit to our barn showroom in Crondall, Surrey if you prefer by appointment.

Ushak's have become increasingly desirable in Europe and in the US in recent years, with their soft dyes, open pattern and muted appearance making them extremely popular with private individuals and interior designers.  Their value has always been high, but they are increasing and going alongside the Ziegler carpets from the famed workshop of the same name.
