Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Baluch rugs are traditional tribal textiles hand-woven by nomadic and semi-nomadic Baluch tribes near the borders of Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. They are renowned for their geometric motifs, dark red and blue colour palettes, and durable wool construction.

Traditional Baluch rugs are crafted using hand-spun wool for the pile, often woven onto a wool or cotton warp and weft foundation. The wool is coloured using natural plant and mineral dyes to achieve rich crimson, indigo, and dark brown tones.

Authentic Baluch rugs feature small to medium hand-knotted sizes, repeating geometric medallion or gul motifs, dense pile, and intricate multi-bordered edges, frequently finished with woven kilim ends or white cotton fringe.

A Baluch rug can be styled as a focal point over natural timber floors or layered atop neutral sisal carpets. Its dark red and navy geometric patterns complement dark academia interiors, mid-century furniture, or eclectic room schemes.

Vacuum the rug regularly using suction only to avoid damaging the fibres with a rotating brush bar. Address liquid spills immediately by blotting with a clean cloth, and seek professional specialist cleaning for deep maintenance.
