Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Botanical watercolours originated as crucial scientific records prior to photography, created by illustrators to document plant taxonomy, medicinal species, and exotic flora for horticultural publications.

These works were typically rendered in watercolour or bodycolour pigments on heavy rag paper or vellum, and were frequently framed in local hardwoods such as maple, oak, or walnut veneer.

Authentic period watercolours display variable brushstrokes, natural paper aging or foxing, and subtle colour variations, contrasting with the uniform dot matrix patterns visible under magnification in modern reproductions.

Botanical watercolours can be styled in vertical pairs, grid arrangements, or integrated into an eclectic gallery wall alongside modern art and textured wooden furniture to add organic detail.

To prevent fading and paper degradation, display watercolour artwork away from direct sunlight and damp environments, utilizing UV-protective glass and acid-free archival mounting materials.
