Art Deco jewellery from the 1920s is characterised by geometric shapes, symmetry, and intricate platinum metalwork. Fine diamond settings often featured milgrain edging and geometric filigree pattern work.

Art Deco rings frequently utilised platinum due to its strength, allowing for delicate pierced filigree and milgrain detailing. Diamonds during this era were commonly Old European or Old Mine cuts set in platinum mountings.

Authentic Art Deco rings typically feature hand-carved openwork, precise milgrain borders, and period hallmarks inside the band. The presence of Old European or Old Mine cut diamonds with distinct hand-faceted proportions also indicates period authenticity.

Art Deco rings function as versatile statement pieces that complement modern tailoring or formal evening wear. Their geometric structure allows them to blend seamlessly with contemporary minimal jewellery.

Clean the ring gently using warm water, mild liquid soap, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust from behind the stones. Have the platinum prongs and diamond settings inspected periodically by a professional jeweller to ensure structural security.
