Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco engagement rings from the 1930s are characterised by geometric precision, streamlined forms, and the transition from elaborate filigree to cleaner, modernistic metalwork. This era frequently featured distinct diamond cuts, such as pear and marquise shapes, paired with accent stones set into platinum or white gold.

During the 1930s, jewellers predominantly worked with platinum and 18-carat white gold to create bright, monochrome settings. Diamonds were often hand-cut and held securely by claw settings, frequently highlighted with grain-set shoulder accents.

Authentic 1930s rings often feature period-appropriate hallmarks, specific mounting techniques like delicate bead-setting on the shoulders, and hand-cut gemstone facets. Inspecting the underside of the setting typically reveals hand-finishing rather than modern uniform casting.

A vintage pear cut ring offers a distinct silhouette that pairs seamlessly with minimalist modern wedding bands or simple stacked rings. The teardrop shape elongates the finger, making it a versatile focal piece for both daily wear and formal attire.

Clean vintage diamond rings using warm water, mild detergent, and a soft-bristled toothbrush to gently remove debris from behind the setting. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners and ultrasonic baths if the ring features delicate accent stones or antique mountings.
