Description

The salmon ground is studded with an array of floral and geometric elements in soft blues, greens and yellows. The allover design is pleasing in scale and floats over an abrashed background. The darker border is strong and frames the rug perfectly. These old Bijars are thick and hardwearing and they sit perfectly flat which is not always the case in antique rugs. A really lovely decorative rug with good age.

Fair condition, some wear with the warps showing through as is common in this type of rug which are so tightly woven that the warps sit one on top of the other. Altogether a very robust piece suitable for any position.
