Description

A fabulous antique Bidjar rug, hand woven circa 1900. The rug features an indigo field of Herati design around a large ivory medallion surrounded by an ivory border. Some lovely secondary colours including green, gold and aubergine.

Size: 1.50m x 1.03m (4ft 11in x 3ft 5in)

This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear, very slightly heavier on the edge of the border (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
