First quarter 20th century. West persia.

A delightful larger sized sarouk rug with a nice pinky red ground colour and typical floral festoons eminating from a vase of flowers to each end with central floral cartouche.

Virtually in full pile throughout with most rebound side cords,even fringes completing its very good look.

These carpets are hand-knotted using spun wool pile woven onto a durable cotton warp and weft foundation, with colours derived from traditional vegetable dyes.
