This stunning, top quality, early 20th-century solid oak desk is a beautiful and practical piece. The combination of elegant drawers and beautifully turned legs sets it apart from a traditional pedestal desk, making it far more attractive and less bulky. The octagonal drawer fronts with decorative beading give this piece a classic period look, adding a refined yet sturdy aesthetic.

Crafted from solid oak, this desk is of the highest quality and, as expected, very heavy. The drawers are clean, entirely solid oak, and run smoothly with lovely brass handles. There are some occasional ink stains and minor marks inside. The finish is a beautiful mix of dark and mid-oak staining, creating a charming, aged patina. The top features a black leatherette-style covering, which complements the desk's rich wood tones beautifully.

Over time, slight movement has caused a small gap where the left panel has shifted slightly from the back edge and the right panel from the front. This is a minor detail and is shown in the images. The base is in excellent condition, fully intact, sturdy, and working as expected. There are expected signs of wear consistent with a well-used antique desk, so please review all photos carefully to assess the condition.

The back of the desk is presentable, so it can be positioned in the middle of a room. While not highly decorative, it still looks very nice. This product will be delivered by hand by a proper furniture courier.

Delivery is free to mainland England and Wales only.

There will be a cost anywhere else so please, contact us for a quote.

This will cost us between £60-80 to deliver, so if you wish collect from Lewes in East Sussex we will refund the saved courier charges.

The couriers will arrange a day and time window with you.

Delivery is to the front door. Should the item be large, the courier will need a hand your end or contact us and we will arrange a more expensive two man delivery.
