Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Spirit decanters from the 19th century were vessels designed for storing and serving distilled spirits such as whisky, brandy, or gin. Often crafted from heavy lead crystal, they feature hand-cut geometric patterns engineered to catch and refract light.

These decanters were primarily produced using lead crystal glass, valued for its density, clarity, and acoustic resonance. Geometric patterns were cut into the heavy glass using rotating wheels, followed by hand polishing and grinding of the stopper joint.

Authentic period pieces feature sharp hand-cut facets, noticeable weight due to high lead content, and polished pontil marks on the base. Furthermore, stoppers were custom-ground to fit individual bottle necks, often marked with matching scratched numbers.

Place the decanter on a styled sideboard top or a metal bar cart alongside complementary glassware. Position it near a natural light source or lamp to highlight the refractive qualities of the cut glass.

Hand wash the interior using lukewarm water, mild soap, and non-abrasive cleaning beads or rice to lift deposits. Ensure the vessel and stopper are entirely dry before inserting the stopper to avoid trapped moisture and clouding.
