This mid-18th-century walnut French provincial commode from the Louis XV period is a stunning piece.
The drawer fronts are beautifully characterized by hand-carved relief outlines, adding to its charm.

The ornate foliate brass hardware is original, ensuring smooth operation for each drawer. The piece is finished with a shaped apron and showcases a rich, warm patina that enhances its historical appeal.

This 18th-century commode, referred to as "in arbalète" (crossbow), features drawer fronts decorated with scalloped cartouches and rounded anterior uprights, the sides with panelling, all raised upon cabriole scrolled feet. It retains its period brass handles and keyholes, complete with working locks and a key. Originating from Provence, this commode beautifully captures the craftsmanship of the 18th century.
