Description

A Rare High Back Windsor Chair in Yew wood with an Elm seat from the workshop of John and Elizabeth Gabbitas a prominant chair maker from the town of Worksop , this is vertually identical to my other Gabbitas Chair which also has the rare feature of a turned and shaped crinoline stretcher rear support something i have never seen before on a Worksop chair, this chair also has all the best features of top Gabbitas chairs and is also in excellent condition with a pleasing colour and patina having only been waxed prior to sale
