Sarouk carpets originate from the Markazi province in West Persia and are recognised for their fine knotting, durable wool pile, and dense floral field patterns, often structured around a central medallion.

Authentic Persian carpets are hand-knotted using spun wool pile woven onto a durable cotton warp and wefts, dyed using natural plant and mineral pigments.

Authentic pieces display hand-bound selvedges, asymmetrical hand-knotted weaves visible on the underside, and subtle colour variations known as abrash throughout the pile.
