Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian display cabinets were produced between 1901 and 1910, characterised by lighter proportions and delicate decorative motifs compared to heavier Victorian predecessors. They frequently drew inspiration from 18th-century Sheraton and Hepplewhite designs, featuring classical marquetry, satinwood stringing, and glazed panels.

These pieces typically feature fine mahogany or rosewood frames detailed with satinwood, boxwood, or ebony line inlay and marquetry foliage. The doors incorporate hand-cut glass panels, and interiors often contain fabric-lined backs with solid wood shelving.

Authentic Edwardian cabinets show signs of period construction, such as slim hand-cut dovetails on internal framing and original brass fittings. Look for age-appropriate surface wear, slightly irregular hand-drawn glass, and wood inlay that sits completely flush with the primary veneer.

Position the cabinet against a neutral or dark-toned feature wall in a dining room or living space to highlight its mahogany tones and delicate inlay. Curate the interior shelves with a mix of contemporary ceramics, clear glass stemware, or framed art alongside traditional porcelain to create a balanced aesthetic.

Dust surfaces regularly using a soft microfibre cloth, following the grain of the wood. Protect the delicate marquetry and french polish finish from direct sunlight, extreme humidity, and heat sources, applying a high-quality beeswax paste periodically.
